The biggest tournament in poker is once again on the horizon, and the race to Las Vegas is on. We are of course talking about The Big One -the 2009 World Series Of Poker* Championship! Once again, we are making it our mission to help as many PokerStars players as possible reach this pinnacle event on the poker calendar through our online WSOP* satellites. In 2008, over 2,000 players qualified through our satellites, and 6 of the final 9 players were sponsored by PokerStars.com, including the 2008 Main Event winner and current World Champion Peter Eastgate, and runner-up Ivan Demidov, both now members of Team PokerStars Pro. Our 2009 World Series qualifiers will be running daily from Monday, April 20, with Cash and Frequent Player Point (FPP) qualifiers available from as little as $2.20 or 40 FPP. Steps qualifiers are also available from $7.50. Go the distance in our qualifiers and you'll win a Main Event Prize package worth $12,000, which includes your Main Event buy-in, hotel accommodations and $1,000 in cash for expenses. The World Championship begins July 3, 2009, at the Rio Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. Go to the Events > WSOP tab in your PokerStars.om lobby to find a full list of all the available satellites.
