Team PokerStars Pro signs two new members We are pleased to welcome Juan Carlos Alvarado and Johnny Lodden as the latest recruits to our elite Team PokerStars Pro. Alvarado's growing reputation at the poker tables over the past few years has seen him win hundreds of thousands of dollars in live events and made captain for Team Mexico at the recent PokerStars World Cup of Poker V. Watch out for JC Alvarado at future live events and playing online using the screen name ‘JC Alvarado’. Johnny Lodden joins the Team with a reputation as a major force to be reckoned with, in both live and online events. Lodden has become the first ever Norwegian player to earn a spot in the elite Team PokerStars Pro stable and will be flying the flag for PokerStars at major poker events. Recent Live Event Winners In the lead-up to the conclusion of EPT Season 5, EPT Deauville, EPT Copenhagen and EPT Dortmund have all produced the sort of great poker action the European Poker Tour has become synonymous with. PokerStars qualifier Moritz Kranich claimed a victory at EPT Deauville worth €851,400. EPT Copenhagen crowned 19-year-old Finland native Jens Kyllönen as champion, awarding him €878,057 first place prize money. Meanwhile, EPT Dortmund will go down in the history books after Sandra Naujoks became only the second woman to win an EPT event, following in the footsteps of Team PokerStars Pro Victoria Coren who won EPT London in season three. Naujoks triumphed in Germany’s biggest ever poker tournament, winning the German Open and taking the €917,000 prize money. In Uruguay, Karl Hevroy claimed the LAPT Punta del Este Championship title and a first prize of USD$283,500. Victory for the 20 year-old from Norway came in the first LAPT event to crack the $1 million prize pool mark.
